Follow these steps on your phone or computer. It takes about 5 minutes.
Go to the website
Open your internet browser and go to smartyattendance.com. At the top of the page, click “Employee Verification”.
Enter your Staff ID
Type your Staff ID into the box and press “Check ID”. If your name and details show up correctly, continue to the next step.
Enter your phone number
If the system does not already have a phone number for you, it will ask you to type one in (example: 0241234567). Press “Continue”.
Enter the code sent to your phone
A 6-digit code will be sent to you by text message. Type it in and press “Verify OTP”.
If the code does not arrive after a few minutes, don't worry — press “Not receiving OTP? Continue” to move on anyway.
Enter your Ghana Card number
Type your Ghana Card number into the boxes provided — it looks like GHA-000000000-1. Press “Continue”.
Take a photo of your face
Allow the website to use your camera, position your face inside the frame, and press “Take Photo”. This confirms the Ghana Card belongs to you. If the photo doesn't look good, press “Retake” and try again.
Done!
You'll see a green checkmark and “Successfully Verified” with your name and date of birth. Depending on your situation:
- “Check your email or phone for your login details” — your account is ready. Look for a message with your temporary password.
- “Please contact your HR department” — your identity check is complete, but your login couldn't be set up yet because your phone wasn't confirmed. Contact HR to finish setting it up.
Having trouble?
- Made a mistake? Press the “Back” button at the top to go back a step.
- Don't have your Staff ID? Contact your HR department.
- Camera not working? Make sure you allowed camera access when your browser asked, and try refreshing the page.
